Biography

Jan Lukas Robertus MD, PhD, was appointed as a Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Pathologist at Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation trust in February 2015. He previously worked as a Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Pathologist at the Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He provides a full range of diagnostic cardiothoracic pathology. He is lead pathologist for cardiovascular pathology, molecular and digital pathology and co-lead for cardiac and pulmonary transplantation. He is also co-lead for the Brompton Cardiac Morphology Unit and is member of the Brompton Cardiac Morphology Steering Committee. He is Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London.

Research Area

His main research interests are thoracic oncology and cardiomyopathies.
