Molecular Biology

Molecular biology focusses at the molecular working behind processes like replication, transcription, translation and cell function. Basically, it studies the transcription of DNA into RNA and translation of RNA into protein.
It particularly emphasizes the molecular basis of genetic processes.Molecular biologists perform the mapping of genes on specific chromosomes, associate these genes with specific characters of an organism, and using recombinant DNA technology they isolate, sequence, and modify specific genes and characters.
